Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC)

Under the ITEC Programme, the Government of India has been offering training programmes in a wide range of Indian training institutions to trainees from developing countries in a variety of fields.During the academic year 2010-2011, around 60 trainees from Angola participated in various training programmes conducted under ITEC in India. Among the courses offered, the most popular ones among the Angolan were the following

Certificate of Proficiency in English & IT Skills.Certificate Course in English Fluency.Advanced Course in Computer Networks Engineering & Management.

Apart from the ITEC courses, India has also offered Specialized training programmes for medium level officials of various countries of the African Union organized by various premier training institutions in India. Officials in Angola have also evinced interest in these programmes and trainees are already participating in some training programmes which are under way. Some of the training programmes in which trainees from Angola have evinced interest:International Busines, Combating Dessertification and Climate Change, Agriculture, Livestock and Foodgrains, Ground water Management, Food safety, Highways & transportation.

Like the past year , this year also , the Embassy of India is pleased to announce that applications are being invited from Angolan citizens to attend ITEC Training Programmes in India (fully funded by the Government of India) for the year 2011-2012.
